project OVERVIEW
We designed a new brand and logo for The World's Largest Rubber Duck, and translated that branding into a new website design. To capture the playful essence of the rubber duck we implemented custom CSS and SVG animations, custom button designs, and more.
The eCommerce section of the site includes a live-updating sidebar cart, quick view shopping, and easy checkout with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
whimsical
ANIMATIONS
We created animations using a combination of CSS and SVG technologies. Animations include moving clouds, rolling waves, bobbing duck, and panning skyline.
custom BUTTONS
We created a set of custom buttons that are bright and bold, with an accented retro drop shadow hover state.
card CAROUSEL
Instead of a standard photo gallery, we created a card carousel, using the accented retro drop shadow to echo the feeling of polaroids.
events
CALENDAR
We built a custom integration with The Events Calendar, a popular WordPress plugin. The calendar automatically hides past events, and custom dividers form a path that the duck will travel between stops.
online SHOP
We built the online shop on WooCommerce, and it features a live-updating sidebar cart, category filters, quick-view shopping, and easy checkout options with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
